AU Movie Poster Contest 2010

+ 1 change in guidelines and rules ---> PLEASE PM ME YOUR ENTRIES

DO NOT post it here and please try to refrain from showing others before I post it up.

I had an idea and since I was running out of inspiration for my own graphic work and crap, I decide that I was in a hosting mood. So this is how this contest is going to work.

I will need help with deciding the winner. So that there will be less bias I need 2-3 other judges helping me. (:

Remember, to be a judge you must be responsible and you will have to judge pieces on a 100 point scale (I'll explain that in a moment.) You must go in depth when critiquing the work. If I feel like you aren't doing your job and is here just to piss people off, I'll kick you off the list. Simple as that.

THE SCALE

So that more feedback can be given, the judges and I will be grading each piece on this:

- Creativity:
Self explanatory. Must explain your decision.
Worth 20 points

- Flow:
How well the parts of the piece go together, balance, consistency, etc.
Worth 20 points

- Typography:
Was the artist creative with the placement of the text? Does it draw the audience in?
Worth 25 points

- Attention Grabber?:
Is this one an attention grabber? Does the piece make you want to see this "movie" or keep you thinking? What about it makes this one so special?
Worth 35 points

OVERALL:
Add up all the points and put it here. Explain how you felt about the piece as a whole here.

***** at the end of this contest, I will place a poll for the people of AU to vote for the best poster. For each vote you get, 5 points will be added to your total score.

Guidelines for Participants

1) NO PLAGIARISM. Stealing other works or manipulating them and claiming it as your own will not be tolerated; you will be disqualified.

2) PLEASE BARE IN MIND that there are minors on this website (including me XD) so please keep everything appropiate. If you have any further questions about that, feel free to ask.

3) FEEL FREE TO use any type of program to do this. Even drawings, paintings, collages, etc are acceptable. Just remember to make it look like a movie poster. (:

4) PLEASE PM your final entries to ME. (Annana) Make sure to not let anyone else see it. I'm trying to keep it as secretive as possible. lol

5) If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me.

The first place winner will have their piece featured in the GD-ers {graphic designers} group photo and group details until the next contest.

First place winner will also get to request for three kinds of graphics by me. (I can make headers, layouts, banners, icons, etc. you can ask me all about it later)

Second place will get two kinds of graphics from me.

I wish I could get someone better to do stuff for you guys but I don't really know anyone who'd be willing. XD
Maybe I might get some help later?

Well anyway, there is no deadline yet because I'm trying to see how far this will go. Who knows how many people will enter. So if you're the only participant, you get all the prizes for yourself~~! Wink
