TVXQ and their Avex contract

AVEX official gave an official stand related to the chaotic/confusion among TVXQ fans both in Korea and Japan which has been happening after the article about TVXQ already stepped on disbanding procedure was released by Japanese newspapers.

On the 3rd, Nikkan Sports Japan quoted Japanese official from AVEX company, “The policy of TVXQ to work as five members doesn’t yet to change.”

However, as been informed, TVXQ contract with their Japan company AVEX will expire in June. If the contract is not extended from now on, whether TVXQ can continue activities in Japan, it won’t be yet secured.

Currently TVXQ Changmin and Yunho still remain under SM Entertainment while the rest members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu have left expanding their each individual activities.

Just sometime ago, in Japan TVXQ attended NHK’s year-end award festival Kouhaku Uta Gassen as five members for the first time, however the three members, whose provisional disposition application to terminate exclusive contract against SM Entertainment was accepted by the Korea court as the issue of court injunction, seem to be more passionate in the performance and there was an unseen tense and emotional conflict with the remaining two members that makes the current situation is impossible to predict.

The problem now is whether SM will extend the contract of the 3 members with AVEX after June. The fact that currently TVXQ is at their peak of popularity in Japan is something that can not be ignored under any condition especially in relation to revenue circumstances.

TVXQ is now in a situation of an attempt to reach into final decision amicably to be able to work together in a long-term in Japan.

Uhh..I think it's obvious what will happen if they don't extend the contract.

I think they're in a situation where both sides are unable to budge. The three members obviously made up their mind when they made the lawsuit, hoping that the other two will join. However Changmin and Yunho are bound with families, so they can't make the decision for themselves either. Whether they want to be together or not, I think they will not be able to.

I'm a little confused ... and can't think well ...
but if I understand well , in June the TVXQ contract with Avex will expire and that the extend of that even to the trio is SM responsible? Like , SM yet respond for the 5 of them to extend this?
OMG this is bad , really bad
I thought that the trio would extend it ... without SM issue ...
But If not , so TVXQ career in Japan is in problems too ...
but then can't ignore the popularity of TVXQ in Japan right now ...

AVEX do something pleaaaase ;-;

3 TVXQ Members to Start Their Solo Activities? Proposals from company to star in drama and film production!

The 3 TVXQ members first trip together is to prepare for their own activities?

3 TVXQ members who have been in conflict with SM Entertainment regarding exclusive contract issue, Hero Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu, and Micky Yoochun recently took a trip to Australia together.

On the 4th, they went to Sydney Australia to take a break and go for a tour to popular tourist attractions in entire city including the Opera House, before coming back on the 7th.

This is the first time these three people went on vacation after the lawsuit regardless the schedule from SM Entertainment.

The three TVXQ members refrained that they had their actual solo activities through the latest traveling of theirs, saying that they just went for a re-charge and also to set up some plans for the upcoming activities in this new year.

However, the trip that was supposed to be enjoyable for the TVXQ members was getting a bit inconvinient as their fans kept gathering on the spots they went after the news of them going to Sydney spread.

According to officials, even just after Junsu, Jaejoong, and Yoochun arrived at Sydney airport, there had always been a long line of fans following them even to hotel.

Regarding this trip to Sydney, some people argued that this was made for a pictorial photography. The evidence was a photography camera that was spotted when they arrived at airport, also couple of pictures taken by fans and spread through internet about a photoshoot that was taken on a boat with famous Sydney Harbor Bridge as the background.

Yet the 3 TVXQ members representative explained, “It was a pure vacation, there wasn’t any other purpose.” he continued, “The members going to Sydney Australia is also no more than this one time.”

Meanwhile, while the music career of 3 TVXQ members laid off for a while, it’s expected that they will start active again in near future through acting.

According to 3 members TVXQ acquaintance, currently the 3 members have received proposals to appear in drama and movies. There are already some request for them from drama and film production company, and now the members are in process of selecting scenarios, scripts, and many others.

Xiah Junsu himself will raise up stage for musical ‘Mozart!’ at Sejong Cultural Centre, Seoul and his final appearance will show off on February 20th.

TVXQ to stop their group activities

With their group activites in Korea already halted due to a lawsuit filed by Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu against SM Entertainment, it was announced today that TVXQ will be stopping their group activities in Japan.

Despite the lawsuit filed by the JaeChunSu trio in mid-2009, TVXQ still continued their group activities in Japan.

But it looks like their 30th single, Toki o Tomete which was released late last month could be their final piece together.

Visitors to their official Japanese website on April 3rd were greeted with a popup message from Avex Japan which stated that ‘Tohoshinki will stop/pause their activities as a group and to please support their solo activities‘.

With no definite timeframe or concrete details from Avex Japan, fans are undoubtedly crushed by this devasting announcement.

Keep the faith though, it could be just temporary.

TVXQ’s JaeChunSu demands $25 million from SM Entertainment

Three members of boy group TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki — Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu (aka JaeChunSu or JYJ) — have been very constant with their actions against their “agency” SM Entertainment. They’ve already filed a group lawsuit to terminate their alleged unfair contract once and for all.

Today, it’s been revealed that the trio is now demanding 30 billion won—which roughly converts to about $25 million US dollars —from SM Entertainment, to fairly compensate the earnings they’ve made from various TVXQ-activities to date.

According to JaeChunSu’ claim, since their contract with SM is now void (since October 2009) due to its illegality, the profit that SME earned from the contract should now rightfully be returned to the three members. Since the whole group has earned 60 billion won in total (roughly $50 million US), the trio believes each member deserves at least 10 billion won (60 divided by 5) and then deducting SME’s own expenses. Ultimately, the trio is seeking for total amount of 30 billion won to finally settle this legal strife.

To support their decision, the three members also argued, “SM Entertainment claims that the 13-year-long contract is needed for overseas activities, but it’s unacceptable. We members are the ones who have to pay for the damage if the contract is broken in any way, and its amount is too high to be acceptable.”

Stay tuned to allkpop for further updates on this development.

Ayu intercedes conflict between Tohoshinki fans and Avex president

There was a little conflict recently between Tohoshinki fans and Matsuura Masato the president of Avex, on twitter.

The conflict started when fans asked him about Tohoshinki. Matsuura tweeted, “Wanting them to get back together is my wish, but not getting back together is their decision.”

Fans were upset by his tweet and said to him, “Don’t you know how many fans would get hurt by words like this?“, “Why don’t you stop tweeting?“, “Stop saying stuff as if you know everything.”

Matsuura tweeted back to the fans again, “Then don’t ask me anything, and don’t believe my words“, “You want me to lie about that?”

Then people who are not Tohoshinki fans tweeted to him, “You are being too immature“, “You should know how effective your words are to fans.”

The twitter exchange became over heated, and Ayumi Hamasaki tweeted on behalf of Matsuura to the Tohoshinki fans.

“Please stop pushing all your anger and sadness only on Masa(Matsuura). Because of his position, he had to know something he didn’t even want to know. Isn’t Masa the same as you (fans)? Who didn’t give up, even after going through all that pain?”.

It's so sad to see fans bashing Max like that, he has really worked so hard for us all to make things work, he updated us, shared his stories with us. People should be thankful to him for that. I bet he didn't mean to say it like that. The boys themselves said they don't want the group to break up

Don't you mean the president of Avex?
