What type of Chinese characters can you read/write?  I can write and read simplified since supposedly I'll most likely come across them if I were to go overseas.

But I can also read traditional!  I learned after watching several Taiwanese dramas and reading my magazines.  The only thing is, I can't write them..o.0  Sounds a lil weird, but it's true!  Too complicated~

Simplified since it was the only choice at school. We never learn the traditional one but the retardest thing is, the traditional one is widely used on media instead of the simplified one, which we learn in school. So we in Malaysia grew up not being able to read the newspaper in Chinese. -_-;;

Yeah same here. I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! I have yet to see anything simplified..-_-" I go to an Asian market, everything's labeled traditional. The newspaper is also traditional.

I read/write traditional. Simplified is just too hard for me even though it has less strokes. XD

traditional chinese is amazing. Everyone should know it. Its the same as traditional japanese because thats where japanese originated from. Simplified chinese is helpful but traditional chinese is definitely better
